Terms of Use

Effective: September 14, 2026

Vendor Roll (vendorroll.com) is run by Law Box LLC, a Texas limited liability company. These terms are the deal between Law Box LLC and anyone who uses the site: lawyers and law firm staff looking for vendors, vendors who claim or buy a listing, and anyone else reading it. If you do not agree to them, do not use the site.

What Vendor Roll is, and is not

Vendor Roll is a directory of the types of businesses that law firms hire for support: process servers, court reporters, investigators, mediators, records retrieval, and the like. Listings come from public licensing rolls, court and association rosters, vendor websites, vendor submissions, and recommendations by lawyers.

A listing is not a referral, an endorsement, or a guarantee. We do not vet a vendor's work, insurance, or licensing beyond what the source we took it from says. You hire a vendor at your own judgment and risk. Confirm licenses, insurance, and terms directly with the vendor before you engage them.

Vendor Roll is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. It is separate from Patterson Law Group and every other law firm. Nothing on the site creates an attorney-client relationship with anyone.

Accounts

You need an account to review a vendor, request a quote, recommend a vendor, or claim a listing. You must give accurate information and keep your login to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Lawyer accounts require a bar number, which we check against the licensing authority's public record. If your license is not in good standing, or we cannot confirm it, you may browse but you may not review.

Vendor accounts belong to the business they represent. Claiming a listing you do not own or speak for is a breach of these terms and we will remove the claim.

Reviews

Reviews are the point of the site, so the rules are strict.

Only licensed attorneys whose license we have confirmed may review. Each lawyer may review a given vendor once every twelve months. A review must describe your own firm's actual experience with that vendor. No reviewing your own business, a competitor's business, or a vendor you have not used.

Every review is read by a person before it publishes. We may hold or decline a review that looks fake, retaliatory, off-topic, defamatory, or that discloses confidential client information. We do not edit the substance of a review. We do not remove a published review because the vendor asks, because the vendor pays, or because the vendor threatens. A vendor who believes a review is factually wrong may use the dispute form on their listing; a person reads every dispute and we will remove a review we conclude is false or violates these terms. Using the dispute form is a condition of any legal claim about a review.

You choose how your review is attributed: your name and firm, your name only, your firm only, or "a verified attorney." Every option carries the licensed-attorney mark. Price information you report is shown only as a pooled range, never next to your name or firm.

By posting a review you give Law Box LLC a perpetual, royalty-free license to display and distribute it on the site and in materials about the site. You keep ownership. You are responsible for what you write. Do not include client names, case details, or anything covered by a confidentiality obligation.

Reviews are the reviewer's opinion, not ours. Under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, Law Box LLC is not the publisher or speaker of content provided by users, and is not liable for it.

Listings

Public-record listings. Businesses and individuals on public licensing rolls may be listed without their consent, using the contact information the public record contains. We do not knowingly publish home addresses for individual licensees. Anyone listed may ask us to remove or correct a listing through the link on the listing page; a person reads every request. We will correct errors. We may decline to remove a listing for a business that is currently licensed and operating, since the information is public, but we will always remove a home address, a personal phone number given in error, or a listing for a person who is no longer in the business.

Claimed listings. A vendor who claims a listing may edit its details, receive quote requests, and see analytics. Everything you enter must be true. Do not describe services you do not provide, licenses you do not hold, or coverage you do not offer. We may correct or unclaim a listing that misrepresents the business.

Paid plans. Vendors may pay for a Verified or Featured listing. What a paid plan buys is described on the Vendors page and on the plan itself. A Featured plan is available only to a Verified listing with at least one published review. Featured placement is never conditioned on the content of reviews, and reviews are shown on Featured listings exactly as on any other. A paid plan never buys, changes, hides, or reorders a review. Featured placement is labeled as such. Plans bill monthly or yearly through Stripe and can be canceled any time from the dashboard; cancellation stops future billing and the listing returns to the free tier at the end of the paid period. Fees are not refundable except where the law requires.

Recommendations. A lawyer or vendor may recommend a business for listing. A person checks every recommendation before it publishes. Recommending is free and confers nothing on the recommender.

Quote requests and leads

When a law firm sends a quote request, we pass the request to the vendor and show the firm's identity to the vendor according to the vendor's plan. A quote request is a request for information, not a contract. Vendors may not use quote-request contact details for anything other than answering that request. Law firms may not use the form to send anything other than a genuine request for the vendor's services.

What you may not do

Do not scrape, bulk download, or republish the directory. Do not use the site to send spam or unsolicited marketing. Do not post anything unlawful, defamatory, or infringing. Do not attempt to gain access to accounts, data, or systems that are not yours. Do not impersonate a lawyer, a vendor, or Law Box LLC. Do not offer or accept anything of value for a review.

Our content and yours

The site's design, code, text we wrote, and the Vendor Roll name and roll mark belong to Law Box LLC. Listing data drawn from public records is public; our compilation and presentation of it is ours. You may link to any page. Vendors may embed the Vendor Roll badge on their own site; the badge must link back to the listing and may not be altered.

**What vendors upload.** A vendor who adds a logo, photo, or description to a listing confirms that they own it or have the right to use it, that it shows their own business, and that it does not include any client, case, or person who has not agreed to appear. By uploading, the vendor gives Law Box LLC a royalty-free license to display it on the listing and in materials about the site for as long as the listing exists. We review uploads before they show and may decline or remove any of them without explanation.

Copyright complaints

If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to our designated agent: Law Box LLC, 2409 Forest Park Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas 76110, hello@vendorroll.com. Include the work you own, the page where it appears, your contact information, a statement under penalty of perjury that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner, and your signature. We remove infringing material promptly and may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. A vendor whose upload is removed may send a counter-notice to the same address.

Disclaimers and limits

The site is provided as is. We do not warrant that listings are complete, current, or accurate, that the site will be available, or that any vendor will perform. To the fullest extent the law allows, Law Box LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your dealings with a vendor or a law firm you found here. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the site will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred dollars if you paid nothing.

Disputes

If you have a dispute with Law Box LLC about Vendor Roll, tell us first at hello@vendorroll.com with your name, contact information, and what happened. We will try to resolve it with you informally within 30 days. If that does not work, either of us may require non-binding mediation in Tarrant County, Texas, with a mediator we agree on, costs split evenly, before filing suit. Any claim that is not resolved will be brought only in the state or federal courts sitting in Tarrant County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue. Either party may instead bring a qualifying claim in small claims court. Claims must be brought individually; you and Law Box LLC each waive any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, or representative action. Texas law governs these terms without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises or it is waived, to the extent the law allows.

Changes, termination, and the rest

We may change these terms; the effective date at the top moves when we do, and continued use after a change is acceptance. We may change or shut down any part of the site. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stands.
